The clients on Burley Road approached C Allen Groundworks and Landscaping with a comprehensive vision for their property. The dual-purpose brief required a sophisticated front driveway, alongside a technically precise rear garden renovation.

The primary goal for the back garden was to extend the home's living space by creating a raised patio with a level threshold. This ensures a perfectly flush transition from the kitchen floor to the outdoor entertaining area, effectively removing the barrier between inside and out.

Front Elevation: Premium AG Country Cobble Driveway

A key requirement of the brief was a durable, stylish driveway that complemented the local Rutland stone. We installed a stunning block paved driveway using AG Country Cobble in 'Killyleagh'.

• Expert Sourcing: Materials were supplied by MKM Building Supplies, Corby, ensuring the highest grade of block for a long-lasting finish.

• The Look: The 'Killyleagh' multi-tonal blocks provide a traditional "cobbled" feel while offering the structural integrity required for modern vehicle use.

Rear Elevation: Bespoke Raised Patio & Level Threshold

The back of the property was transformed into a high-end entertaining space. The clients had a very specific vision for the layout, which we executed to the millimeter.

• The Level Threshold: To create a true "indoor-outdoor" flow, we constructed the raised patio to be perfectly flush with the kitchen floor. This level threshold allows the living space to extend naturally into the garden.

• Client-Led Design: Following the homeowners’ exact plans, the project included:

  • Integrated Planters: Designed to add structure and soften with greenery.

  • Feature Steps: Two bespoke sets of steps provide access down to the lower garden levels.
